Perrymead Street, Fulham

Interior styling this large house in Fulham created atmosphere.

Having worked with other property interior styling companies the client knew the benefits and was keen to try a new comapny.

This newly refurbished house, created by Nicola Scannell Design, has been meticulously remodelled throughout and offered the best of contemporary living alongside the beautiful Victorian architecture for which The Peterborough Estate is known for.  The Peterborough Estate is characterised by the ‘Lion Houses’, all built in 1899 by Jimmy Nicholls, and of which are of similar appearance, with each house topped with a terracotta lion. It is said that Jimmy Nicholls ordered too many lions (2500 instead of 250!) so he gave each house a lion of its own and one to share with the house next door in order to use them up. The exterior is the only traditional feature of this house, for as soon as you walk in you see a wonderful open space for the double reception rooms, leading to the kitchen, a rare thing in these traditional Fulham townhouses.

It was a fantastic house to style, and working with Nicola Scannell Design was a great experience. I really like working with interior designers and collaborating in order to assist in creating the finishing look that the designer has envisaged. In this case the deisgner was also the builder, so Nicola really knew every area of the house and had a clear idea of how she wanted it to be styled.

Here is what Nicola had to say about working with Cullum Design:

‘I worked with Natalie for the first time on a project in Fulham. She assisted by dressing a property I had designed and refurbished. She and her team are very professional, easy to work with and efficient. Natalie has a good eye for style and her approached really tied in with mine.’
