How to Decorate a Coffee Table by Houzz features Dulwich project

We were thrilled to see that our property dressing of a beautiful Georgian house in Dulwich was chosen to feature on Houzz article How To Decorate a Coffee Table.

My favourite period to work with is Georgian. So you can imagine how delighted I was to style this beautiful Georgian house in Dulwich, located in the prestigious Dulwich Village. We decided to use a combination of traditional and contemporary pieces to style the house, using our Maples desk in the Study, a Pre Rapahelite print in the Drawing room, but then creating a contemporary reception area under the domed ceiling in the second area of the Drawing Room. The house retains many original features, yet benefits from its renovation – the kitchen has been dug down to create more ceiling height, and it has been fully refurbished. A fantastic house with a warm and welcoming feel as you enter, and for anyone who loves the Georgian era of architecture and design, it is pretty special.

This house was successfully sold by Knight Frank.

Testimonial from the client:

‘We renovated our Georgian house in Dulwich Village prior to putting it on the market. As we had already moved from the house and are not developers, our agent suggested we employ the services of a house stager to help sell the house. We met with 4 different house staging companies and Cullum Design stood out from the competition in terms of the creativity of their ideas, their flexibility and the value for money they offered.

Cullum Design showed great flexibility in moving the furniture into the property and getting the house ready whilst working round our builders who were completing the snagging as we needed to get the house on the market in a short time frame.

The way they designed the furniture in the house was nothing short of amazing, which was contemporary but at the same time in keeping with the character of the period property. They transformed the property which resulted in a high volume of viewings and ultimately an offer. The feedback from the agents and everyone who viewed the house was exceptionally complementary on how it looked and this is primarily as a result of the way it was dressed by Cullum Design. In some ways it looked so nice I almost wanted to move back into the house.

I found Natalie and her team a pleasure to work with. They were flexible, creative and had a very transparent pricing structure. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them very highly to anyone thinking of employing house staging services.’
