Knight Frank in Wimbledon asked Cullum Design to property dress a flat prior to launching the property. Knight Frank understand the importance of property dressing, especially with ‘tricky’ layouts where furniture can make a huge difference.
Its the smaller flats that benefit most from property dressing. Adding furniture doesn’t make the space look smaller, quite the opposite, it makes it look bigger. So small flats benefit as much as larger properties. This is true for bedrooms, where I have heard of agents lying on the floor to demonstrate how a kingsize bed can fit in the room! Home staging removes all these questions, and clearly shows people looking around how the space can be used,
A 2 bed flat in Wimbledon, on the market with Knight Frank, hugely benefited from Cullum Design’s home staging services. Once you entered the flat, it was unclear as to how to have the layout. Furniture makes spaces feel bigger. Furniture adds so much to a space.
On this project, I used a mix of items from some of my new favourite accessories at Cox & Cox, to our bespoke headboards, made in house, upholstered in Fermoie. To a Heals drop leaf dining table with Eames Eiffel chairs. Also, using lots of faux plants and flowers softened the spaces and instantly made the rooms feel more welcoming.
