Property dressing benefits all properties –  staged homes sell faster (Home Staging Association)

Home Staging focuses on presenting a property to its best so that it is sold or rented more quickly and at a better price. It aims to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, helping the viewers to envision themselves living at that property and embracing such lifestyle.

There are several techniques that focus on improving a property’s appeal by transforming it into an attractive and welcoming product that anyone would want.

Property dressing benefits all properties that are being marketed for sales or lettings. Its easy to think only the prime properties need to be dressed, or that it is so expensive to home stage, but the truth is that given the cost of selling, and moving, the property dressing is a cost that should also be considered.

This house on Gladstone Road, Wimbledon, had been a family home for over a decade. The family moved to Dubai, and having let the house for a number of years, then decided to sell. The house, when we first went to look around, had some areas that we suggested were improved prior to dressing. With our decades of experience, we will always good advice if we feel that the interiors decoration and exteriors need work. Not only some exterior and interior paint work, but some leaks and window cleaning too.

We also felt that the exterior entrance needed work so provided some topiary as well as basic gardening to clear weeds, which we included free of charge.

This beautiful Victorian house, set within an amazing New Kings Road location, was small and perfectly formed! The reception room and dining area were not very large. Here are some before and after photos to give you the idea of how furniture creates atmosphere, as well as the importance of professional interior photography.
