Property dressing for new homes is highly recommended by developers and agents alike.
Property dressing new build homes greatly enhances photography & viewings. Cullum Design works with a range or properties that require dressing; a ex rental properties, period properties or contemporary homes. All agents and developers will agree that getting the interiors styled and dressed can make the difference between a sale and a price reduction or no sale.
One of the reasons I love working in interiors and property is the opportunity to explore different areas of the UK. It was wonderful to go to Scaynes Hill in West Sussex to meet with a developer who was bringing to market 4 new build homes. The developer had worked with staging companies before but wanted to try a new property dressing company.
The developer had a tight deadline to meet, as well as tight budgets. We understand how our clients do have budgets to keep to, and we want to work together. We view our job as a collaboration with our clients, seeing through the last details to their vision. By using a mix of items – including the odd piece from Ikea – we could deliver to a budget a great looking scheme!
The developer had already an open day in the calendar, people were booked to come and see the homes, so it was indeed a tight turnaround from us arriving with the furniture, whilst doors were being fixed, landscaping done and more! However, though some home stagers would have turned back and come another day, we knew we had to work together to get the interior styling ready for the launch. It was all hands on deck and we made it work! The launch was a success with one house going under offer!
Property dressing new build homes is vital. To have one unit as a demonstration as to how the houses can looked ‘lived in’ helps people to imagine them living there. These new build homes are perfect for family living so we decided to dress one bedroom as a children’s room. The living area on the ground floor is ideal as it has the open plan layout onto a lovely garden with mature trees.
I’m still waiting for the professional photos, so the one above is a little sneak peep at the open plan family area of one of the new build homes in Scaynes Hill, which is available through Connells.
