Property Dressing in Cresswell Place, London

Property Dressing in Cresswell Place, London

Cullum Design were asked by boutique estate agency Russell Simpson to property dress a beautiful house in Cresswell Place, Chelsea.

When Russell Simpson call ask to us to property dress for their client, I know its going to be a fantastic property. Russell Simpson is a boutique family estate agency that specialise with prime London property. They are the go to for property owners with prime property looking to sell, buy or rent. This house did not disappoint.

The house is a very secluded and very private ‘cottage’, originally a coachhouse, in the heart of the Boltons Conservation Area, on a pretty cobbled mews street in Cresswell Place. Its a fantastic location with off street parking, pretty rare in Central Kensington and Chelsea!

With its own off street parking behind a gated wall in a private courtyard, this is an unusual house. The  property had been newly renovated to a high standard. When I visited the house, I wanted to keep the rooms feeling light and homely, making sure that it looked stylish without looking too staged.

Properry dressing this London house was great fun as it was a fantastic space to style.

Each item was carefully placed and thought out, creating a look that was simple and colourful. I wanted to keep to more natural textures so used linens for cushions, woods for furniture, and lots and lots of faux flowers to create a countryside, ‘away from it all’ feeling as the house is so private, when you are in this house, you forget that you are right in the centre of Chelsea! It is like a country house in the midst of London!

Not surprising, this house is now under offer and has exchanged within weeks of coming to the market. Not only because it is a great house, but because Russell Simpson know how to sell houses.

Property dressing really makes a huge difference. The rooms were transformed with furniture. Every empty property would benefit from property dressing as empty rooms never make a good first impression.

The interior photography here was done by Matt Davis   and I think you will agree that his photos are great! This isn’t a house that calls for wide angle photography. Matt is a true professional and his images here are showcasing as much of a lifestyle as a property.

We recently have dressed another property with Russell Simpson, Smith Terrace.
